2010 marked the end of our 3 year Sungai Way
rehabilitation project, and we wanted to ensure that
the lessons from the project were shared with others.
One of the objectives of the project was to develop a
Handbook to be used by relevant government officials,
to rehabilitate rivers in other states. The “Handbook on
Urban River Management Through Local Community
Participation” is already published and was launched
on 7 April 2011, by the Deputy Minister of Natural
Resources and Environment Malaysia, YB Tan Sri
Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup.
