Heineken Malaysia Berhad ("HEINEKEN Malaysia" or the Company)
Change of Finance Director

The Company wishes to announce that Mr Szilard Voros, who is currently Finance Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia, will leave the Company in June 2021 to explore other opportunities outside the HEINEKEN Group.

Szilard joined HEINEKEN Malaysia in November 2017 and played a crucial role to help transform the Company into a high-performance organisation. Szilard contributed by embedding revenue management, reinforcing a cost efficiency mindset, and completing the Company's integration into the HEINEKEN global network. Szilard also successfully led the initiative of the Sales and Services Tax implementation in 2018 and contributed to the resolution of Customs' Bills of Demand in 2020. Szilard has been a valued co-pilot to the Managing Director throughout the volatile business environment in leading various key initiatives and ensuring proper allocation of investments and resources within the organisation.

The Board of Directors and Management of HEINEKEN Malaysia wishes to express their deep appreciation to Mr Szilard Voros for his services and contributions to the Group and they wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Mr Szilard Voros will be succeeded by Mr Karsten Folkerts who will assume the role as Finance Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia effective 15 June 2021.

Karsten was the Chief Financial Officer/Head of Finance, Procurement and Digital & Technology for AB Heineken Philippines (“ABHP”) since January 2020, where he navigated ABHP through continuous COVID-19 lockdowns. Under these difficult circumstances, Karsten has shaped a new future for HEINEKEN in the Philippines. He successfully managed the transition of the Philippines business from a joint venture structure with Asia Brewery to a new partnership.

Before moving to Manila, Karsten was Finance Manager for Europe Export & Global Duty-Free (“EE&GDF”) for three years. Under Karsten's leadership, the Finance team has significantly improved business partnering capabilities, professionalized the revenue management approach in EE&GDF and strengthened the control environment, considerably impacting the business.

Karsten joined HEINEKEN in 2007 as Finance Management Trainee, after which he was in Business Control and Project Management positions in VRUMONA, HEINEKEN Netherlands, and HEINEKEN Brazil.

Karsten obtained his Executive Master of Finance and Control from VU University Amsterdam and his Bachelor and Master of Science in International Business (Financial Management) from Tilburg University, Netherlands.

The Company will make the necessary announcements on the above changes once the same take effect.

This announcement is dated 2 June 2021.
